A Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader fanart.
Soldiers of 193rd Akronian Regiment during the suppression of the Hunger Uprising on Danor 5 in 988M41. Imperial government on Danor 5 was overthrown by common people during a planet-wide economic crisis. The Imperial authorities demanded hungry people to pay the tithe despite that it would result in their starvation. The uprising was suppressed by 18 Imperial Guard regiments. About 50 percent of the planetary population was purged by the Imperial Guardsmen. Rape, tortures and looting were commonplace. The remaining inhabitants of Danor 5 were locked up in work camps and forced to work until they died of illness and malnutrition. |
